My 4-week Experience with Dermaroller Philippines

Microneedling has become more popular recently. I remember using dermaroller I bought from Dermaroller Philippines last 2018.

Based on my readings, I found out that collagen-induction is one of the best ways to remove the blemishes, hyperpigmentation, and even the deep-pitted acne scars.

So I tried.

I bought the dermaroller with 1.0 mm 540 titanium disk needles along with the Vitamin C serum of Dermaroller Philippines.

Dermaroller Philippines also entertains questions so as to what needle size would perfect for your scars.

How to Use

I followed the instruction manual that was inside the box. Sadly, I lost that guide already. But the one in the box teaches the essential steps.

In every session, I sterilized the dermaroller by dipping the roller head to a glass of alcohol for about 30 minutes and let it air dry. Then, I started rolling it over my clean face.

I followed the suggestion of where to start and how to roll it. Then, I apply the Vitamin C Serum that came with it.

Since I have to roll my forehead and cheeks, it always took more than an hour. Afterwards, I again sterilized my dermaroller in another alcohol solution and let it air dry before storing.

I did this once a week for four weeks.

After Rolling Session Care

Considering that small wounds had been made all over my cheeks and forehead, I had to be very careful to avoid the dust, sweat and sun. The after care guide also comes with the package.

Every two days, after the rolling session I only use my regular facial cleanser to wash my face then the serum and that’s it.

Since it was also recommended to avoid using make up or anything that might irritate the face during the healing period, in the duration of those four weeks, I went to work with only a sunblock on my face and no make up at all (not even a face powder).

I also avoided being exposed to the sun for a long time and I tried not to sweat a lot.

Impression

As expected from an experience of using needles, it was a painful but tolerable. This is one of the good things about this dermaroller. You can press it based on your level of tolerance. I even used mine without a numbing cream.

Just to be sure that I can really notice the effect of the microneedling on my face, I took a photo four days after every rolling session. And boy, I was surprised of how my face had improved. I even noticed that no single pimple came to visit my face in the whole duration of using this face roller

Kapag may tiyaga, may nilaga. So they say. 🙂

Though Dermaroller Philippines really stood up to its claims, I could not continue using it because of the nature of my work. I used it in the whole duration of July but I had to stop during August because of the activities that would made me sweat and be exposed to the sun a lot.

What I had to give that time of microneedling was my weekends. 🙂 I did not go out the whole Saturdays and Sundays just to ensure that my face will not be infected. So I had no weekend gala that whole July.

It was really tiis-ganda in a whole new level. But I would say, it was totally worth it.

August and September turned to be the months that I am physically worked out because of rehearsals and parades. (Not a celebrity. But coz I am a public school teacher and I am obliged to participate in civic activities every fiesta.)

For this reason, I had to stop using the dermaroller. 😦

Now, if I will have the chance and the budget to try dermaroller again, perhaps I would buy another one. And this time, I will never stop rolling until all these bad memories will be totally erased. 😀
